Three Good Things

Basic : Write down three things that went well for you today.

Advanced: Write in as much detail as possible, including where you were, who else was there, and what was done or said.

Get specific in describing the emotions you felt.

HINT- If you are struggling to find three, consider things that could have gone wrong that didn't.

Why it Works

Outsmarts the negativity bias – it's easy to get caught up in the things that go wrong.Gratitude counterbalances that tendency.

Writing about three good things is associated with increased happiness immediately, as well as one week, one month, three months, and six months later.
